Individual Therapy – Individual counseling allows more time to be spent on exploring your needs, fears and desires in a nonjudgmental, safe environment. Premarital Counseling – I work with couples planning their wedding to develop awareness and tools for a lifelong happy marriage. With counseling, couples learn to heal emotional injuries, create healthy communication styles, and connect on a much deeper level.
Couples Therapy – When working with San Diego couples, I use a process called Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT is considered one of only two “empirically supported” methods for working with couples, which means a lot of research has shown that EFT works. Fully 90% of distressed couples who complete EFT experience significant improvement in their relationship.
Family Therapy – By focusing on patterns of interaction within the family, I provide family members with tools to create and maintain lasting and successful relationships. Families learn to create healthy boundaries, improve communication, parental skills and resolve family conflicts.
Children & Teen Counseling– I work to foster confidence and a sense of empowerment in children and teens. Children and adolescents learn how to cope with stress, face peer pressure, improve relationships and communication tools.
